NAME: Nunnally Lamperouge / vi Britannia

HISTORY: Nunnally Lamperouge was originally born as Nunnally vi Britannia, Daughter of the Emperor and Empress of Britannia. She was 87th in line of succession to the throne, but when her mother was killed, she was paralyzed by bullet wounds and went blind because of the trauma of seeing her mother getting murdered. At least this is what the story makes us believe. Instead, the Emperor being the culprit of the deed, as Lelouch believes, puts her under a Geass to hide the truth as she saw it. After Lelouch confronting the Emperor about how their mother is killed, both of the siblings are exiled to Japan as prisoners of political value, where they meet Kururugi Suzaku when living at the Kururugi residence. After the Britannian invasion of Japan, Lelouch changes their last name to Lamperouge to hide their identities, makes contact with their mother’s old allies, the Ashford family who helps them stay hidden, providing them with living in a building at the Ashford Academy campus, to accommodate Nunnally’s disabilities, such as not being able to see or walk on her own. They both attend the middle school and academy that’s part of the Ashford area. At first, Nunnally mainly exists as a motivator for Lelouch’s goal of overthrowing the Britannian Empire and create the sort of world in which his sister can live in peace. She is kidnapped by V.V. near the end of the end of season one and makes Lelouch abandon everything and the Black Knights in order to save her, but instead of being able to rescue her, Lelouch is captured by Suzaku and as a result of the mess, Lelouch’s forces suffer a definite defeat since he left them to fend for their own.
However, the second season shows how everyone’s memory of Nunnally has been replaced by that of Rolo Lamperouge, a young boy now posing as Lelouch’s little brother. The entire population of friends and family believes that Rolo has been Lelouch’s little brother all the time. Lelouch later discovers, when regaining his memory, that Nunnally is being held hostage by the Emperor. To be able to finish what he needs to have done, however, Lelouch keeps up the mask with Rolo and does not recognize her as his sister, in order to protect her. She makes her first appearance, reinstated as a Britannian princess and now the new Viceroy of Area 11, Japan. She remembers Lelouch, but doesn’t know that he’s Zero as well. Nunnally instead works against Zero in her vow to her deceased sister, Princess Euphemia’s will, wanting to reinstate the Special Administrative Region in Japan. This is her belief that the world can be changed, using non-violence. She shows her compassion and kindness by giving Kallen a dress instead of the prisoner suit when she’s captured and sent back to Area 11, and she also talks with her about Lelouch when Suzaku interferes and asks to speak to Kallen alone. Nunnally doesn’t like the way he addresses Kallen with her prisoner number, rather than her real name and she also suspects that he is lying about Lelouch to her to protect her. Later, upon receiving information that the redevelopment of the ghettos would place a heavy burden on the Eleven population, Nunnally insists on a reform and rewriting of the plan, wanting to make things easier for the people.
When the second battle of Tokyo ensues, Rolo and Sayoko are sent to find and rescue Nunnally, but even as Sayoko manages to seemingly escape safely with her, they both look like they get killed when being caught in the blast radius from the F.L.E.I.J.A. bomb, unwillingly fired by Suzaku when his life was in danger. When Lelouch later talks with Charles and Marianne vi Britannia, the Emperor and the Empress (as seen not being dead), he gets to know that Nunnally’s injuries during the faked murder of their mother was made by V.V. who made her the witness to the deed, and that her blindness, which was thought to be psychological, was actually the result of Charles' Geass, done to protect her against possible reprisal by V.V. Deciding to send both of the siblings away was an argument based on that he wanted to protect them from V.V., whom he felt like he couldn’t trust anymore. Nunnally is later revealed to be alive and well, and aboard Schneizel’s floating fortress, the Damocles. Being fed just enough information, mixed with lies, Schneizel manipulates her and she declares herself the enemy of Lelouch and Suzaku. Being lied to about the damage F.L.E.I.J.A. caused, she is made to stand her ground as an opponent to her vengeful brother, while being supported by Schneizel as the rightful heir to the throne.
She insists on being given the key to the F.L.E.I.J.A. launch, wanting to atone personally for the sins her brother has done. She doesn’t like how easy it is for her to launch warheads at Lelouch’s army, destroying his fleet and causing many casualties. She believes it to be for the greater good and plans on taking all the sins and the burdens onto her own shoulders, much like Lelouch planned from the start. When Lelouch finally manages to succeed in infiltrating and breaching Damocles defences, Nunnally drops the key and is thrown out of her wheelchair. While desperately trying to find the key, searching around on the ground, her legs not carrying her, she manages to break her father’s Geass with her own willpower and can return to the wheelchair before Lelouch arrives and confirms that he wants the key from her. She then opens her eyes, much to his surprise and shock, and asks if he would resort to using his Geass on her, something he has sworn to himself never to do. Nunnally explains that the ship of Damocles will be a symbol of hate among the people and that once it’s gone, will allow them to move forward with their lives. And she will be the one taking on the burden, as was originally Lelouch’s own plan. He uses his Geass on her to try to get her to give up the key to him so that he can use Damocles to take over the world. Lying to her about what he thinks, he manages to get it, even though she is resisting the order at first, doing her best to not give it up. She calls him a liar and a devil and cannot do anything else than watch helplessly as he leaves with it, having fallen out of her wheelchair yet again in her try to get it back.
After two months, when Lelouch has reached the top where he rules the world, he takes Nunnally as a prisoner to watch the execution of the U.N.F. leaders, among them many of the former Black Knights. When Suzaku, in the clothes of Zero himself, appears an stabs Emperor Lelouch with his sword, Nunnally can do nothing else than watch with wide eyes and shock as her brother falls from his throne and slides down to beside her, where she takes his hand and realizes he has sacrificed himself on purpose. For her sake. Sitting in her chains, she cries out as he dies, hugging him and declaring that a world without him isn’t what she wanted. That she didn’t want this to happen. After all this, when the world at last has come to peace, Nunnally remains an important diplomatic figure and is seen with Zero (Suzaku) by her side, along with a still geassed Schneizel.
PERSONALITY: Nunnally is caring, pleasant, nice and determined. After knowing of what her brother did, she decides to take her place as the rightful heir to the throne, deceived by Schneizel and trusting what was told her about Lelouch. She’s somewhat gullible and only wants what she thinks is the best for everyone. She has the same sort of conviction as her brother, and the same sort of stubbornness. Despite being bound to her wheelchair, Nunnally is not as weak as everyone thinks she is. She rarely gets angry, if at all, and she just wants peace and that everyone is happy and has a home. Being an excellent diplomat and being the person she is, not many can withstand her charms. When faced with wrongs, she attempts to make them right if it’s within her powers. She’s faced a good many tragedies in her life and despite them she’s kept her smile and her beliefs. Nunnally keeps the memories of her dearest in her heart and treasures them, and wouldn’t be depressed and sad over them because she doesn’t believe in being sad if life still has so much to give her. She misses her brother terribly though, and she wishes things hadn’t gone as they had, but there’s nothing she can do about it, so instead she enjoys life in the stead of the ones that died. She’s selfless to a ridiculous point and wouldn’t mind helping you in any way that she could. She’s beridden of the ability to walk and comes with a wheelchair, but her eyes are open, blue and clear, and you can be sure she probably can see through you and detect if you’re sad in any way. She’s making the best of her life right now, and wants the memory and deeds by her brother not to be done in vain.
I’ll be taking her post entire series, so she’ll be in the belief that her brother is dead. As well as many others she’s met during the time of when he was still alive. She’s fifteen year old at this point.

“Ah…” Nunnally blinked. This was the hotel… it was really pretty and she wondered why she had accepted the invitation in the first place. Maybe because the others had persuaded her into it, telling her it would be a nice change for once. She was fine with it. It wouldn’t take long, right? It was only the trouble of her wheelchair. She didn’t have anyone here that could help her up the stairs, so she was just sitting there, only a few meters to the door, and not being able to get there.
“Oh dear. I wonder what I should do now…” she said silently, then pressed the button to make her wheelchair drive closer to the stairs until it stopped by hitting the bottom step. There really was no way around this, unless there was a ramp she could get up on. It was kind of troublesome, and she was a little exasperated that a hotel as nice as this one didn’t have one. Her brother would have demanded one for her… she giggled a little, then looked around once more. There really should—
Ah! There it was! How peculiar that she hadn’t discovered it before. Wheeling her way over to it, she made sure her bag was secure in her lap before driving up to the doors and stopping right outside them. Oh good, they were sliding doors. Smiling, she drove inside, making a small noise of happy success, before turning to see the doors close. Now then. What was she supposed to do now? She wished that Zero could have come with her. He had always been by her side since… well. She decided not to think about that. Being in a wheelchair wasn’t really easy, but she had learned how to handle it, and she certainly should be able to handle it now, even if she was on her own. She made her way up to the counter and was greeted by the lady by the desk, giving her a key card.
“Thank you,” she smiled at the woman and proceeded so that she was standing in the middle of the lobby, looking around. “Now… this was supposed to be a… resort hotel? Relaxing hotel…?” Wondering what she would do next, she looked down at the card, and saw no number or anything written down on it. No indication on where her room was. “Excuse me, I think there’s been a mistake with my--“ turning to address the lady behind the desk again, she found the booth to be empty. “Oh, hello? Are you still there, miss?”
Now this was maybe a little bit unnerving, she decided. “Uhm… is there anyone here?” she called out to the empty of the lobby around her.
